Dabur relaunches Odomos

Ahmedabad, Aug 10 (UNI) Dabur India today announced the relaunch of its popular personal application product ''Odomos '' after making the formulation ''more skin-friendly''.

Senior Product Manager Harkawal Singh told mediapersons that mosquitoes detect human beings through body odour. The new advanced Odomos uses a formula which masks the distinctive body odour and, therefore, the mosquito cannot detect the human being, he said.

Mr Singh said conventional mosquito repellants offer protection when one is in the closed confines of a room, whereas the personal application range offers protection not only inside the house but also outdoors.

Diseases like dengue and chikungunya are spread by daytime mosquitoes, Mr Singh said adding that children, venturing out to play in gardens or even while in school, and people in offices, are at risk. Odomos, therefore, is the only personal application product that offer users complete protection, he claimed.

One application of Odomos will be the best protector against mosquito bites for as long as 12 hours, he claimed.

Gujarat is a very important market for Odomos and the sales in the state recorded a 38 per cent increase in the 2006-07 financial year, Mr Singh said.
