Cong minority cell to organise mass movement

Kolkata, Aug 10 (UNI) West Bengal Pradesh Congress minority cell (WBPCMC) would organise mass movement after the Durga Puja and ID festival against the ruling Left Front government for implementation of the Sachhar Commission report in the state.

Talking to newspersons, Congress leader Subrata Mukherjee said the minority communities in West Bengal were deprived in the Left Front's 30-years reign and added that the Muslim community was more deprived than the others.

If the SC, ST and OBC communities could enjoy various facilities under reservation, there was no point the muslim community being deprived from such benefit, he stated.

Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and his government should furnish details about the jobs given to the Muslim community in their 30-year rule, WBPCMC vice-chairman Aftab Ahmed said.

" We are appealing to the UPA and the LF government to implement the Sachhar Commission report throughout the country immediately, " Mannan Hossein, MP, said.
