New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) Former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishan Advani today alleged that the Congress was blemishing the honour of India by disregarding the Constitution and by damaging Democracy.

Addressing a dharna, organised by the Goa Democratic Alliance and BJP Delhi Pradesh, at Delhi Jantar Mantar to protest the decision of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Goa not to allow three Legislators to vote in the Legislative Assembly, Mr Advani alleged that the Congress had wounded the soul of the Constitution for grabbing power in many states.

Mr Advani said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi should explain the reason for the intervention of the judiciary in the undemocratic and anti Constitutional actions of the UPA Government.

''This is not a good sign for India.

We should be thankful to the judiciary which has corrected every evil deed of the UPA Government by its decisions. The BJP hopes that the Supreme Court will pronounce rightful decision in the case of Goa also,''Mr Advani told demonstrators, led by BJP National president Rajnath Singh.

Addressing the protest meeting, attended by many office bearers of BJP Delhi Pradesh, office bearers of Morcha and Cell, Councillors. District Presidents besides thousands of workers, Mr Rajnath Singh said,''it is an irony that the majority Legislators to whom the responsibility of running the Government should have been given are demonstrating on the roads of Delhi today and the minority Legislators are running the Government due to the tricks of Congress.

By allowing the minority Government to run the administration the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly has weakened the democracy.

This has been done at the instance of Congress. The BJP, NDA and Goa Democratic Alliance shall fight from Parliament to the streets against this anti democratic, anti Constitutional deed of the Congress.'' J.D. (U) President Sharad Yadav said he would raise the Goa issue in Parliament and take the fight to Parliament, to the streets and the Court.

Speaking on the occasion, Shiv Sena Leader and former Goa Speaker Manohar Joshi said the Congress had wounded the democracy in Goa.

He, however, expressed confidence that the majority of Legislators shall get justice from the Court and Mr Manohar Parikhar shall take the oath of Chief Minister.

Goa BJP President Shripad Nayak said that until the Government of the majority Legislators comes to power in Goa, their movement would continue.

Among others who spoke on the occasion were president of the Goa Democratic Alliance Anil Salgaokar, Legislator of the MGP Sudhir Dhawlikar, President of Goa Bachao Front Churchil Alemao and General Secretary Wilfred Miscet.

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Harsh Vardhan, National Secretary Vijay Goel, former MP Anita Arya, Chandrakant Khere and many other speakers also addressed the protest meeting.
