Woman seriously injured in acid attack by her husband

Mysore, Aug 9 (UNI) In a 'macabre' incident, a 23 year-old woman received 90 per cent burns when her husband allegedly poured acid over her after forcing her to drink the acid mixed with liquor last night.

Police said Fairoz Ahmed Khan, a habitual drinker, used to quarrel with his wife Heena Fathima demanding money to buy liquor.

Heena, who was admitted to K R Hospital was in a critical condition.

Police had arrested Fairoz.
