Verify reports of Dawood's presence: India to Pak
New Delhi, Aug.9: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has reportedly written a letter to Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency(FIA) seeking its comments on recent media reports about the detention of Dawood by authorities in Karachi after a gun-battle, official sources said.
The FIA has also been asked by the CBI to provide details about the detention of Dawood, who has been on the run since the March 1993 bombings in Mumbai.
Dawood, designated a global terrorist by the US, is also wanted in India for other crimes, including extortion, murder and the circulation of fake currency.
