Two drivers related to rail accident suspended
Kanpur Aug 8 (UNI) The two drivers invloved in the accident of Jodhpur-Howrah Express have been suspended today.
Driver V K Srivastava and co-driver R K Saxena have been suspended as preliminary investigation suggest that they are to be blamed, said D K Dubey, Divisional Manager of Allahabad zone.
If the investigation report gives them a clean-chit they would be reinstated, he said. The two seriously injured drivers are now under treatment in a hospital.
Security officials of North-Eastern Railway are carrying out the investigation. They would submit their report after they take the statements of eye witnesses in Kanpur on August 12.
Meanwhile, the 13 injured passengers have been released from hospital and another four seriously injured are battling for life.
The accident had resulted in the delay of a number of trains.
