Tree turns saviour for the stranded

Ahmedabad, Aug 9 (UNI) About 100 persons have been taking shelter on tree-tops in Majothh village in Rajkot district for the last 48 hours following heavy rains.

They include children, men and women who are waiting for relief.

The village is submerged in six feet deep water.

District Collector Pradeep Sharma said today that he had received information about the stranded people of Majothh village and efforts have been augmented for rescue and relief operations.
