SI remanded to four-day CBI custody
New Delhi, Aug 9 (UNI) A special CBI court today remanded a Delhi police Sub-Inspector, arrested yesterday on charges of graft, to four-day CBI custody.
Special Judge S K Kaushik remanded to custody SI Vipin Kumar, who was arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from the complainant.
The CBI caught Vipin, posted at Paschim Vihar Police Station, red-handed while accepting the bribe and recovered six illegal arms including a 9 mm pistol and a .32 revolver and four country-made weapons.
Seven mobile phones, Rs 78,715, 150 gm of smack and some incriminating documents were also recovered.
The CBI said the Sub-Inspector possessed three vehicles-- a Scorpio, an Indica and a Getz.
He had also recently acquired a flat worth about Rs 50 lakh in Paschim Vihar, which has been renovated at a cost of around Rs 20 lakh.
