FRANKFURT, Aug 9 (Reuters) German wind turbine maker REpower, controlled by Suzlon, has received several orders for wind farms in Italy and Australia with a total output of 160 megawatt (MW), it said on Thursday.

REpower signed deals for three projects in Sicily and southern Italy with a capacity of 114 MW and another 46 MW deal for a wind farm in Victoria, Australia.

The projects will start next year and are due to finish in 2009 at the latest.

The company did not disclose any details about the price for the contracts.

Usually the sector allocates 1 million euros ($1.38 million) in sales per megawatt for on-shore wind turbines.

REpower shares were down 3.4 percent at 130.46 euros by 1318 GMT.
