Officers arrested for accepting bribe

Patna, Aug 9 (UNI) State vigilance bureau today arrested an officer in-charge of Panchgadhi outpost and an officer posted at Block Cooperative office while accepting bribe in separate cases.

Additional Director General of the bureau Neelmani said ''We were informed that Ratnesh Kumar, the station in-charge of Panchgadhi outpost under Dhaka police station area in West Champaran district was demanding Rs 10,000 from a person to 'resolve some issue'. A sleuth of bureau caught him today while accepting the bribe, he added.

Mr Neelmani said that in another corruption case Lal Behari Ram, an officer of Cooperative department posted at Durgawati block in Rohtas district was nabbed by the bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 from a client. He would be produced at the special court of the bureau at Patna.
