NUWJ condemns attack on Taslima, journalists

Nagpur, Aug 9 (UNI) Nagpur Union of Working Journalists (NUWJ) has condemned the attack on noted Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen and journalists by activists of the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) in Hyderabad today.

In a statement issued here, NUWJ President Yadunath Joshi and General Secretary Rahul Pande described the incident as a cowardly attack on the freedom of expression.

Maharashtra Union of Working Journalists (MUWJ) has also condemned the incident.
