MP Govt to take ISRO's help for strengthening information system
Bhopal, Aug 9 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government will take help from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for exploration of natural resources and strengthening information system in the state.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while addressing Indian Science Convention 2007 at his residence here today, said scientists had a responsibility to present scientific disciplines in easy and simple language so that farmers and general public could comprhend it.
ISRO Chief G Madhwan Nair, Pune-based C-DAC's former Chairman Vijay Bhatkar and other scientists were present during the programme.
A decision was taken for strengthening information system and exploration of natural resources in the state during the meeting between ISRO and the government.
Dr Nair told the Chief Minister that various information related to villages could be made available on computer through digital mapping.
He said ISRO had educated about 30 lakh people at about 4,000 centres in the country through computer.
