Mayawati inaugurates dialysis unit at SGPGI

Lucknow, Aug 9 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today inaugurated a new dialysis ward at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute (SGPGI) here today.

Addressing a gathering of medical experts after the inaugural ceremony, the BSP supremo expressed hope that the new ward would help kidney patients, especially those from weaker section of the society.

Assuring the SGPGI of all possible financial aid, she said the institute would not face any financial constraint and further directed the officers concerned to launch a recruitment drive to meet the dearth of doctors.

Ms Mayawati noted the tele-medicine department of the SGPGI was playing a novel role in providing suggestions to students of various medical colleges of the country.
