Jet Airways to start Delhi-Toronto flight from September 5
New Delhi, Aug 9 (UNI) Using Brussels as its Europen hub, Jet Airways will be India's first private airline to fly regular services to Canada with the introduction of a new flight linking Delhi with Toronto.
Starting September 5, Jet Airlines will operate the Delhi-Brussels-Toronto flight with an Airbus 330-200 aircraft, which has been specially configured for international operations with 30 seats in Premiere class and 190 seats in the economy class.
On August 5, Jet Airways started regular daily services to New York (Newark) from Mumbai via Brussels. At Brussels, flights will be synchronised in order to provide passengers seamless transfer access between Delhi and Newark and Mumbai and Toronto.
Detailing the airline's future plans, Jet Airways Executive Director Saroj Datta said they have plans to extend its international operations to North America, Europe, Africa and Asia in phases.
He said by the yearend, Airways will start operations to Johannesburgh in South Africa. Also, by October the Delhi-Toronto flight will fly on Delhi-New York route while Toronto will be linked with Bangalore or Chennai.
As part of its inaugural offer, it has introduced a special economy class return airfare of Rs 35,000 and Premiere return fare starts from Rs 1,57,500 (all excluding tax). Economy class special fare is valid for travel until October 3i.
