Hurriyat protests against human rights violation in JK

Jammu, Aug 9 (UNI) The All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) today staged a demonstration to protest against gross human rights violations in Kashmir at Shaheedi Chowk in Jammu.

Hurriyat leader Ghulam Ahmed Mir led the demonstration. The demonstrators carried banners and placards, and raised slogans and demanded release of all political detenues.

Expressing solidarity with the relatives of the missing persons since last 18 years, the Hurriyat leader demanded human rights violations be stopped in the state.

Calling for the withdrawal of troops from the state, he said the relatives of the missing persons are going through agony and trauma.
