Fox Studios's second show on Star Plus on air from Aug 20

Mumbai, Aug 9 (UNI) Fox Television Studios is all set to launch its second weekday primetime show on Star Plus from August 20.

'Sangam' will be telecast from Monday to Thursday at 1900 hrs.

The Hollywood studio's first show 'Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni' has been a success, said Deepak Segal, Head, Fox Television Studios India at a press conference here.

He said the show promises to be a first of its kind that will picture a unique yet identifiable relationship of a daughter with her parents.

''Sangam is Fox Television Studios attempt towards a story which is very inspirational in character. Set around a conservative society and the triumph and tryst of Ganga (the protagonist) against it, Sangam will indeed be a meeting point of dreams and destiny, where Ganga's character will be a portrayal of determination and heroism,'' he added.

Unlike big budget mega shows, Sangam's storyline will be very simple with strong characters, which is promised to attract a wider viewer base for the channel.'' Jennifer Winget, who is seen in Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagi Kay, essays the lead role of Ganga, Shaleen Bhanot and Chaitanya Chaudhary are among the prominent members of the cast.
