Former militant's killing trigger reaction against ULFA

Guwahati, Aug 9 (UNI) Surrendered ULFA (SULFA) cadres today issued a strong warning to the ULFA after a former cadre was gunned down last night in Titlibari under Doomdoma police station in Tinsukia district.

The victim, identified as Prabal Moran, was shot when he was on way to open his shop. He was rushed to the nearby Army hospital, but succumbed on the way.

Meanwhile, as many as 17 SULFA members today issued a statement asking the ULFA to stop killing the former militants.

The statement said, '' The ULFA is digging its own grave and we will not tolerate this serial killing. '' The surrendered cadres also alleged that the ULFA was in the grip of the ISI.

The ULFA had been targeting the SULFA members time and again, suspecting that the SULFA were working as spotters and informers for police.
