Ensure Marathi language on BMC hoardings: Raj Thackeray

Mumbai, Aug 9 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray today urged the Brihanmumbai Municipal Commissioner to ensure that all the hoardings in the city bear Marathi language apart from Hindi and English.

Today, Mr Thackeray called upon BMC commissioner Jairaj Phatak and made the request. The MNS, incidentally, has seven corporators in the BMC.

The BMC is the nodal agency for granting permission to put up hoardings in the city which is a big source of revenue for the civic body.
