Docs on strike as gangwars erupt in hospital

Kota, Aug 9 (UNI) Resident doctors of MBS hospital here have struck work today to protest inadequate security measures at the hospital as a gangwar erupted in the hospital's emergency ward last night.

According to the police, two gangs fought with each other using knives and pistols in the city's Shivpuri area. Two of the gang members, who were seriously injured in the clash, were admitted to the MBS Hospital where other gang members clashed again.

One of the criminals fired shots in the hospital creating panic among patients.

The police arrested two of the criminals Nitesh and Wasim. They are on the lookout for the others.

Meanwhile, resident doctors are observing a strike to protest the attacks and have blamed inadequate security for doctors. The doctors said there have been many such attacks earlier also.
