BMC plans expansion for its Indian operations

Mumbai, Aug 9 (UNI) BMC Software, a leading provider of enterprise systems management will be adding over one hundred employees during the next one year as a part of its expansion plans for its Indian operations.

The Company made an announcement of the appointment of Mr Pankaj Dhume as the President and Chief Executive Officer of BMC Software India, a wholly owned subsidiary of BMC Software. Mr Dhume will be responsible for its entire operations in India including management of the Company's research and development, marketing, back office and shared services organizations.

BMC at present employs more than 1,000 people at its two locations in Pune and Bangalore.

BMC Software Chief Corporate Architect Kia Behnia announced the annual BMC research and development (R&D) innovation awards program.

''Our goal is to recognize and reward BMC R&D employees who have delivered value to BMC and its customers through the development of innovative solutions to real-world problems. India is the only location in BMC's global operations where multiple R&D, customer support, marketing and IT teams are all located at the same location. So we look at BMC India as the centre of excellence for BMC Software. As we drive our innovation agenda, we will be hiring top talent for R&D. We recognize that universities in India produce highly educated, motivated and passionate graduates; therefore we are looking forward to build strong relationships with selected universities'', Mr Behnia said.
