BJP organises statewide agitation against Koda govt
Ranchi, Aug 9 (UNI) Accusing the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government of Jharkhand for "rampant corruption" and price hike in the state, the BJP today organised statewide dharna in all the 22 district headquarters and courted arrest.
The party workers demonstrated before the district headquarters here, courted arrest and were released by police later on.
A report received from Bokaro said police used lathis to control the agitating party workers in the steel city and about 1000 party activists courted arrest and were later released.
In Dumka, the procession was led by BJP state president P N Singh.
Reports from other districts, including Koderma and Hazaribagh, said BJP workers took out processions and demonstarted at court premises.
