Aier appeals Nagaland,Assam govt to solve border dispute
Kohima, Aug 09 (UNI) Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation and Nagaland Hotels Limited chairman Tiameren Aier today appealed to his state and Assam government to jointly sort out the boundary dispute.
Official sources said Mr Aier, an MLA from Alongtaki of Mokokchung district, was reacting to the ongoing tension at Tsutapela police check gate on the Assam-Nagaland boundary.
The tension started after a few students of Titaphar and Mariani under Assam's Jorhat district marched to the state's New Chungtia village.
He also appealed to the people of both the states to maintain peace in the border areas.
