4 killed, 12 injured in road accident

Muzaffarnagar, Aug 9 (UNI) At least four persons were killed and 12 others severely injured when the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) they were travelling in collided head on with a truck in Thana Bhavan area here.

The accident occurred late last night when about 17 persons aboard the SUV, were coming from Haridwar.

The vehicle dashed against an upcoming truck, killing Sunil, Rakesh, Vinod and Imran on the spot, police said.

Twelve others injured in the incident were admitted to the hospital.

The passengers were residents of Sonipat, Harayana.

Invesitigations are underway.
