Zensar Tech bags \ mn insurance deal

Mumbai, Aug 8: IT, BPO sevice provider, Zensar Technologies Ltd, has bagged seven million dollar (over Rs 28.27 crore) insurance deal from a South African insurance company.

"We are delighted to take our business in the 'Insurance Vertical' to its 10 million dollar mark, with the acquisition of a new insurance account in South Africa," Zensar Technologies Deputy Chairman and Managing Director Ganesh Natarajan said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company has a strong focus on the financial services industry with expertise in the area of investment banking and clients in the US, UK, Switzerland and Asia. It also operates offshore centres in India and South East Asia for three of its financial services clients for a large US Mid-West Insurance Company.

"The deal as of now with current components stands at seven million dollar and promises to grow significantly over the next three years, with a number of opportunities already in the pipeline," the company said.
