When law enforcers break laws...

Gulbarga, Aug 8 (UNI) When law enforcers break laws, the law itself becomes a mockery.

For three police constables, including a station writer, their Police Station at new Rajendranagar was nothing but a place to drink, make merry and play cards.

Unfortunately, the trio could not carry on with their merry making as the higher authorities placed them under suspension for dereliction of duty and making their work place a ''makeover Casino''.

The authorities initiated action against the three, following a publication of a photo in a leading daily on July 31, in which they were shown drinking liquor and playing cards in the police station.

The constables were identified as Prithvi Raj, Kumar Patel and Hanumantha.

A detailed enquiry would be conducted and stern disciplinary action would be taken against them, police said.
