Non-bailable warrant against VMC food inspector

Vadodara, Aug 8 (UNI) A municipal court here today ordered the arrest of food inspector of Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) B C Patel by issuing a non-bailable warrant and also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000.

Mr Patel has been consistently ignoring the court summons to present himself over five cases, which he had filed in the court.

The five cases, which Mr Patel had filed, were between 1995 and 1998 against street vendors over food adulteration.

The cases could not be disposed of since Mr Patel had not attended the court even once. He is now likely to be arrested anytime.
