MRPS warns govt on categorisation issue

Vijayawada, Aug 8 (UNI) The Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) today warned the Centre and state government of intensified agitation if they failed to act on passing a comprehensive law on SC/ST categorisation before October 31.

Talking to newspersons here, MRPS Founder M Krishna Madiga demanded the Usha Mehra Commission appointed by Centre on SC/ST categorisation to submit the report before October 31.

The MRPS would be strengthened from mandal and village level, and women, youth and students wings would be formed for the purpose, he said.

He also demanded the arrest of the Circle Inspector and Inspector responsible for the recent Mudigonda firing in which seven people were killed.
