McAffe joins LiMo Foundation for Linux
Mumbai, Aug 8 (UNI) Global mobile security provider McAfee has officially become a core member of the non-profit LiMo Foundation.
''McAfee will provide tremendous value through its extensive experience in protecting mobile devices and help create a safer world-class mobile Linux platform,'' said Senior Vice President and Chairperson NTT DoCoMo, LiMo Foundation, Kiyohito Nagata in a release here today.
It plans to provide security for the world's first Linux-based software platform for mobile devices through this alliance.
California-based McAfee Inc, is a leading security technology company. Its Mobile Security Platform has been deployed in more than 50 million devices worldwide.
The LiMo Foundation is an independent, non-profit entity that strives to increase the adoption of Linux within the mobile industry, the release added.
