Indonesia quake measures 7.4 magnitude - USGS
WASHINGTON, Aug 8 (Reuters) An earthquake that hit Indonesia today was at magnitude 7.4 and 282.1 km deep, the U S Geological Survey said on its Web site.
The quake was too deep to prompt a tsunami warning, said Robert Cessaro at the US National Weather Service's Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
The quake took place at 12:05 am local time yesterday 2235 IST today. Its epicenter was 112 km from Jakarta.
