Incessant rains continue to lash Nashik Dist
Nashik, Aug 8 (UNI) Incessant rains continued to lash the district for the fourth consecutive day today.
The rains have rejuvenated the crops, thereby avoiding sowing for the second time in the district.
Meanwhile, dams like Valdevi, Kelzar and Haranbari in the district have filled to the full capacity, whereas Nandur-Madhyameshwar dam is overflowing.
The Ganapur dam has been filled upto 83 per cent and about 3000 cusecs of water has been released from it till today.
The district has received total 344.2 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours. Igatpuri taluka in the district received the highest rainfall of 110 mm, while the lowest was recorded in Nandgaon talkua 1.6 mm. In Nashik it was 9.1 mm, Dindori 12 mm, Peth 65 mm, Trimbakeshwar 67 mm, Chandwad 11 km, Surgana 36 mm, Kalwan and Yeola 4 mm each, Niphad 8 mm, Sinnar 13.5 mm and Deola 3 mm.
