Genpact Ltd eyeing to buy \0-200 mn

Mumbai, Aug 08: Genpact Ltd., India's largest back-office firm in terms of export revenues is eyeing acquisitions of firms with revenues of 0-200 million. "We are looking at adding capabilities in financial services overall, especially in finance and accounting and investment banking," said President and Chief Executive Officer Pramod Bhasin.

He said that the company was in various stages of talks with about four to five overseas firms for a possible buyout, but did not specify a timeframe to conclude the deals.

Bhasin said that in the past Genpact had looked at smaller companies with revenues of -40 million. "But now we would like to get to the 0-200 million revenue level," he said.

Genpact Ltd was interested in acquiring captive firms, but was not looking at local companies, he added.

Back-office firm recently listed its shares on the New York Stock Exchange, with an offering of 35.2 million shares at each.
