DCAM launches Infrastructure Fund

Chennai, Aug 8: DBS Cholamandalam Asset Management Ltd (DCAM), the asset management company and investment management of DBS Chola Mutual Fund, today announced the launch of 'DBS Chola Infrastructure Fund', a three year automatic conversion into an open-ended scheme upon maturity.

The fund would seek to generate capital appreciation by investing predominatly in equity and equity related instruments of companies that were expected to benefit from the infrastructure developent happening in the country, DBS Chola Mutual Fund Chief Investment Officer R Rajagopal told newspersons here.

They would select fundamentally sound companies having potential to deliver superior growth in earnings in long term. Few fund offers opened for subscription on August seven would close on September six, he added.

''Companies engaged with huge investment plans in the infrastructure sector would witness impressive growth. The fund is well poised to capture these investment opportunities and offers an attractive investment avenue for long term investors,'' Mr Rajagopal claimed.

"The scheme would offer both cumulative and divident options," he said.

The minimum application amount would be Rs 5,000, he said.
