CM to take up gas pricing issue before EGoM

Hyderabad, Aug 8 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said he would take up the Krishna-Godavari gas pricing and allocation issue before the Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) at the earliest.

An official release here said, Dr Reddy would explain to EGoM the state government's stance on the gas price issue and project the hardships faced by the gas-based power projects in the state.

Stating that 'Bhu Bharati' programme would be taken up in two more districts, Dr Reddy said the project details would be explained to the Centre.

Directing the officials concerned to prepare district plans immediately, he expressed hope that the state would get Rs 25,000 crore as additional assistance from the Centre to achieve the agricultural production target.
