Pak-US to take forward anti-terror talks
Islamabad, Aug 8: Pakistan and the United States will hold another round of detailed talks on their ongoing cooperation in the anti-terror war during the visit of Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher's to Islamabad, beginning August 13.
The talks would focus on Pakistan's role in the US-led anti-terror war, strategy to check Taliban insurgents on areas bordering Afghanistan and Pakistan and ways to promote bilateral cooperation.
Meanwhile, private news agency Online reports suggested that Mr Boucher would be addressing the negative impacts of the recent controversial statements passed by US President George W Bush regarding possible incursions into Pakistan's territory.
He would meet President Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, and Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri and hold official talks with Secretary Foreign Affairs Riaz Mohammad Khan.
