45th KUWJ conference from Aug 12

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 8 (UNI) The 45th state conference of the Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) will be held here from August 12 to 14, Union office-bearers said here.

Kerala Chief Minister V S Achutanandan would inaugurate the conference on August 13, while Labour Minister P K Gurudasan would inaugurate the Trade Union Conference on August 12, they informed at a news conference yesterday.

Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Oommen Chandy would inaugurate the valedictory function, they said and added that seminars on various subjects, Trade Union Conference and a photofest would be arranged as part of the three-day conference.

Prior to the conference, seminars on various subjects, debates and photo exhibition would start from today.

KUWJ General Secretary N Padmanabhan, working chairman K Kunhikannan and President C Gowridasan Nair were present at the press conference.
