2 wanted criminals arrested

Gonda, Aug 8 (UNI) The Special Operation Group (SOG) of police today claimed to have arrested two history-sheeters in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh.

''The criminals identified as Sabir and Jabbar were intercepted by cops near Subhagpur railway crossing late last night,'' Police Superintendent Narendra Kumar Srivastava said.

The duo opened fire at police, but were later nabbed.

A pistol and a mobile phone have been seized from their possession.
