Woman among 2 killed, two injured in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 7 (UNI) A woman got drowned and a man electrocuted while two others received burn injuries in the Kashmir valley, a police spokesman said.

He said one Shabir Ahmad Rather was critically wounded while reparing an electric wire at Chandergam, Awantipora in south Kashmir today.

He was admitted to hospital where he died.

A woman Shakeela got drowned in nallah Sandran when she was trying to cross it in south Kashmir district of Anantnag. Her body was later fished out and handed over to her legal heirs.

Three houses were gutted when fire broke out at Khajan Yar in Baramulla last night. Two persons got burn wounds, he added.

The injured were hospitalised.
