Mumbai: Rupee opens at 40.35/37 per dollar

Mumbai, Aug 7: Rupee opened at 40.35/37 per dollar, up by nearly five paise from the previous close of 40.40/41 drawing support on strong inflows.

The unit is likely to strengthen in coming sessions and may even rise upto 40.20-25 levels, dealers said .

During the intra-day trade, rupee touched a high of 40.35 per dollar and a low of 40.38 per dollar and is currently trading at 40.36/37 per dollar.
