Port Blair-bound Indian aircraft develops snag, returns to base

Chennai, Aug 7 (UNI) The Port Blair-bound Indian aircraft with 124 passengers on board, which took off this morning, returned to the airport here after it developed a technical snag.

Airport sources told UNI that the flight IC-549 took off at 0545 hrs for Port Blair. Even before it could land there, the aircraft developed a technical snag in mid air and returned here around 0650 hrs.

The snag was rectified without disembarking the passengers and the crew. The flight later left for the Andamans at 0920 hrs, sources added.
