Maudhany executes bail bond in 21 cases in Kerala
Kochi, Aug 7 (UNI) People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Nazar Maudhany today executed bail bond in 21 cases filed against him in Kerala for offences under the Arms Act and inciting communal passions through inflammatory speeches.
Maudhany had earlier been granted bail in all 21 cases by the Kerala High Court, which directed him to appear before the magistrate court in Ernakulam.
Judicial First Class Magistrate Tommy Varghese executed the bail in all the cases and posted them to August 13.
The 21 cases against the PDP chief were pending in different courts in Kerala and had been clubbed together before the Ernakulam Magistrate's Court by the Kerala High Court.
Maudhany, who was acquitted in Coimbatore serial bomb blasts case by a special court last week, today told reporters here that he did not want the Kerala government to withdraw the cases pending against him in the state.
''Let the cases be pursued to their logical conclusion,'' he said.
