HUDA to spend Rs 80 cr development works in Panchkula
Chandigarh, Aug 7 (UNI) The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) would incur a sum of Rs 80.93 crore for executing various developmental works in different sectors of Panchkula and Mansa Devi Complex during the current financial year.
This was stated by Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan while presiding over the review meeting of the HUDA authorities here today.
Mr Chander Mohan said that HUDA had approved a sum of Rs 10.65 crore for providing water supply, sewerage, water drainage and roads to the residents of Sector 6, Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula.
He said a sum of Rs 2.48 crore would be spent on the ongoing developmental works of Sector 2, MDC, Panchkula.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that 2072 multi-storey houses would be constructed for slum dwellers by November 2008 at a cost of Rs 45.40 crore.
He said an amount of Rs. 3.50 crore would be spent on the construction of synthetic track in the Sports Complex of Panchkula.
Similarly, an amount of Rs. 3.48 crore would be incurred for construction of 60 meter wide roads between Sectors one to four, Sector one to three and Sector one to two and this work would be completed by June, 2008.
He said an amount of Rs 2.65 crore would be spent on channelisation, beautification of storm water drainage and nullah of foot hills near Sector 4, Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula and the work would be completed by the end of this year.
He said that the work of police station building in Sector 14 was under construction at a cost of Rs. 1.13 crore and it would be completed by the end of December.
