Heavy rains continue to lash Surat

Surat, Aug 7 (UNI) Heavy rains continued to lash the city for the third consecutive day today, throwing normal life out of gear.

All the main roads and many areas of the city remained submerged under water.

The city has received a rainfall of 1,107 mm, while other talukas that received heavy rains include Kamrej (1,184 mm), Umarpaada (1,239 mm), Songadh (1,000 mm) and Choryasi (959 mm).
