4 coaches of Jodhpur-Howrah derails near Kanpur

Lucknow, Aug 7: Unspecified number of passengers on board the Jodhpur-Howrah Express were injured when four coaches of the train derailed near the Juhi railway yard near Kanpur today.

District magistrate, Kanpur, Anurag Srivastava told UNI over telephone that the coaches derailed near Juhi railway yard. ''As of now there are no reports of any casualty,'' he said.

Meanwhile, GRP sources confirmed here that unspecified number of passengers were injured when the coaches derailed soon after the train left the yard. ''Efforts are on to safely bring down the passengers from the derailed coaches,'' GRP officials said.
