CM dedicates park on Jindal's 78th birth anniversary
Yamunagar, Aug 7 (UNI) Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today dedicated to the public a sprawling park in memory of O P Jindal, to mark his 78th birth anniversary.
The park, built on 27 acres of Municipal land includes a 4.75 acre stadium and a lake.
Mr Hooda also unveiled an about 10 ft high granite statue of late industrial-politician O P Jindal, whom he hailed as steelman for his determination.
The Chief Minister said that as Haryanma was emerging as a number one state for the nation, in similar manner Yamunanagar will also be developed as number one district for the state.
''It will be developed as Industrial Model Town (IMT) like Manesar,'' Mr Hooda said adding that the Yamunanagar thermal plant will be ready by November and including Jhajjhar and Hisar plants, the total power production would come to 5000 mg watt which will be surplus for the state.
Janardan Dwiwedi, AICC general secretary and Incharge Haryana and Union Law Minister Hansraj Bharadwaj also spok on the occasion.
