BJP's protest in flood agitation affected districts on Aug 10
Siddharthnagar, Aug 7 (UNI) Flaying Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati for her 'lackadaisical attitude,' BJP leader and former irrigation minister Om Prakash Singh said the party would stage a protest in flood-hit districts on August 10.
''On Aug 10, the party would agitate in tehsil headquarters of all the flood affected districts,'' the BJP leader said after conducting a survey here.
Reproaching the Chief Minister for lackadaisical attitude, Mr Singh claimed ''the relief and rescue operation was not up to the mark.'' So far, 153 people had been killed in the UP flood havoc.
In Siddharthnagar, river Rapti and Budhi Rapti had inundated 60 more villages. At least 647 villages of the district were under flood influence, of which 239 had been marooned.
A total of 150 people were suffering with water-borne diseases.
