Bird samples from Tripura test negative for avian flu

New Delhi, Aug 7 (UNI) Bird samples from Tripura have tested negative for avian influenza (H5 and H7), the Union Agriculture Ministry announced today.

The samples from Dibyoday Krishi Bigyan Kendra, Khowai under West Tripura district, were tested at the high security disease laboratory, Bhopal, the Ministry said in a press release.

The samples from Vawmbuk Village, Saiha District, Mizoram are under test at the laboratory, it added.
