BDO arrested for accepting bribe

Chhapra, Aug 7 (UNI) Bihar vigilance bureau today arrested Block Development Officer (BDO) Manoj Kumar and a clerk Binod Kumar of Taraia block for accepting bribes of Rs 2000 from a farmer for issuing mutation paper of plot of the land.

Additional Director General of state vigilance bureau Neelami said a team of sleuths of his department arrested both the government officials from Taraia block when they were receiving cash from Dharmnath Singh. The farmer was seeking the mutation papers for procuring loans from a bank.

The two would be produced before a special vigilance court in Patna, he added.
