Mumbai, Aug 6 (UNI) InterGlobe Enterprises and Rakesh Gangwal-promoted low-cost carrier IndiGo has flown 1.9 million passengers across 15 destinations through its 78 flights in the last one year.

The fringe airline, which completed one year in business on August 4, added one brand new aircraft A320 each month in the last one year to take its total fleet to 11 aircraft.

To mark the occasion of its first anniversary, IndiGo is also offering fares ranging between Rs 124 to Rs 500 on most sectors between August 4-10, a company release said here today.

''IndiGo was the first low cost carrier in the country to get a CAT III approval from Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) last December, which makes a big impact on our ability to take off and land during foggy weather,'' IndiGo Chief Executive Officer Bruce Ashby said.

IndiGo currently operates 78 daily flights to 15 destinations, including Agartala, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Vadodara.

The budget airline will also take delivery of four additional brand-new A320 aircraft this year, taking the fleet size to 15 by the end of 2007. It plans to serve approximately 30 Indian cities by 2010, with a fleet of approximately 40 A320s.
