Tripura CM inaugurates Edusat method on Aug 14
Agartala, Aug 06: Tripura is going to introduce modern education methods through edusat which will be launched on an experimental basis by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on August 14.
Mr Sarkar will launch edusat at State Council for Education Research here and will hold talks with the students of remote areas of the state. With this, students of fifty areas could learn mathematics, science and other modern subjects through satellite.
The centre was set up by the state government with the joint help of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Union Manpower Dvelopment Ministry at a cost of Rs five crore.
Work for setting up of the Council Centre began in 2006 and modern equipment have been installed at resource centre schools, seven higher secondary schools and district training centres across 38 blocks. At the village level, teaching would be given from class six to ten.
