Jaipur, Aug 6 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janta Party(BJP) has ruled out any threat from the BSP in Rajasthan, saying that even if the Mayawati-led party emerged stronger in the desert state it would cause damage to the Congress.

Talking to reporters here today, BJP national General Secretary Gopinath Munde said BJP was not at all bothered for the BSP in Rajasthan as the latter had no potential political base in the country outside Uttar Pradesh, where it was ruling.

He said that even if the BSP emerged stronger in Rajasthan or elsewhere in the country, it would not pose a threat to the BJP but would damage the Congress prospects.

Mr Munde, who is the party incharge of Rajasthan affairs, also ridiculed the BSP's so called ''pro Brahmin social engineering'' and said infact there was no such phenomenon effective even in Uttar Pradesh.

He said that it was the strong anti-incumbency wave against the previous Mulayam Singh Yadav Government in that state which resulted in BSP's victory in the assembly elections.
